Mike Gay

Mike Gay has been immersed in community banking since high school, when he began working at his father’s small bank in Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota. Inspired by his early experience, Mike spent the first 14 years of his career in commercial banking before advancing into senior leadership roles. Mike joined Frandsen Bank in 2009 as president of the Cloquet office, where his leadership helped establish the location as the top community bank in its market. In 2019, he relocated to the corporate office and was promoted to executive vice president and regional manager. In 2024, Mike was named chief operating officer and president. He remains deeply committed to ensuring Frandsen Bank & Trust continues to be the community bank of choice across its markets, keeping decisions local and supporting the success of customers, employees, and shareholders.
